A family on the move

Trip Over – Mexico

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

We got up bright and early to catch the cab and surprise surprise, Mark was ready on time! We arrived at the airport no problem and got through security, got Genevieve her travel cinnabons, and got on our flight without incident. In Dallas we didn’t have very long between flights but we managed to get everyone fed. I couldn’t find anything I wanted to eat but Mark saved the day by getting me some sushi. Let’s just say that they make the strangest California roll ever in the Dallas airport, but it still hit the spot. We arrived in Mexico and tried to follow the directions to get the Marriot Courtyard shuttle but as we didn’t have a phone we got one of the many tourist people to call for us. That was a new one on me, all those desks in the airport with people eager to book you somewhere. The shuttle came and got us and we got to the hotel and the restaurant was still open so we had what turned out to be one of our better Mexican dinners on the trip. The girls and I wanted to see the outsidesmells humid like a rainforest but not much wildlife aside from really large oddly flat slugs and lots of geckos.  And off to bed. Oh, and the price on the room? $65.00 breakfast included!
