The Roving Richards

A family on the move

Trip Home

Monday, July 8, 2013

Our flight didn’t leave until 2:00 which meant we didn’t need to leave for the airport until noon so we had a lazy morning, enjoyed our breakfast and Mark and the girls played in the pool while I hung out, the hot tub wasn’t hot enough for me after I’d been spoiled at Los Lagos. We would definitely stay at the Adventure Inn again, it’s a good value and a nice hotel and very convenient.

Once we got to the airport we paid our departure tax in Colones, getting rid of most of them. Then we waited in the very long security line for people traveling with minors, and once we got through that we went into the terminal to look for lunch. Oh my gosh, we can’t believe our luck! Not only is there a Smashburger but there’s also a Cinnabon right next door! The girls and I had very good burgers while Mark got a sandwich from Quiznos, and then they split a set of those little cinnabons. Everyone was very happy, we didn’t expect food we actually like at the airport.

We got to Houston no problem and then stopped again by the Desigual store and this time I got a shirt on sale, and Charlotte got a purse and Genevieve got a wallet. We had chinese food (for the adults) and bagels (for the kids) then boarded our plane for San Jose. Once at the airport we took a cab home, found everything in order, the cats had been good and Samoa the guinea pig was fine.
