We decided to go to Ireland because it was a country on our list of countries to see that was reputed to be child friendly.  What we didn’t realize until after we bought the tickets was that the average temperature in Ireland in August is 68 degrees. Yipes!  Monica’s visions of a suitcase full of summer skirts and capris were dashed!  But we rallied and managed to pack with arguably the worst packing job ever (Monica had six (SIX!) unworn outfits at the end of the trip–what was she thinking?!) and saw a lot of the country and came away with a greater appreciation of the history and beauty of Ireland and the importance of checking latitudes when planning a vacation.  If you just want to see the photo album, go here.
